I agree with you to a certain point.

Things being what they are, it won't change anytime soon.

This is why the scene is even more symbolic.

So that the overall scores at the school go up.

But mostly these elitist schools allow the spawn of people like Trump to wander aimlessly around their campuses, barely attending classes, or learning, then they slap a degree on them. It's a warehouse for dumb rich pre-adults to make connections and rub shoulders with genius.

But you have to allow in a few geniuses in to make the school look good. Those geniuses are rarely found among the off spring of the uber rich.

but could not be more wrong. If you honestly believe that Harvard University "allows the spawn of people like Trump to wander aimlessly around their campuses, barely attending classes, or learning, then they slap a degree on them" then you have no idea what you are talking about.

if your able to get into that school, and graduate with a degree in anything, you are the best of the best, and you earned that diploma, trust me on this. That video was awesome btw, congrats to that kid.

Schools like Harvard and Yale are designed not to promote knowledge but to perpetuate an aristocracy. That is a task they perform well. Members of prominent political families, children of the rich, and other highly privileged kids attend such schools alongside a certain number of students who are genuinely gifted in physical sciences, the arts, and other fields (but not especially in fields directly related to public policy). The truly gifted children give cover to the privileged blockheads. (For one exploration of the lack of real diversity at prestigious colleges, go here: http://www.theatlantic.com/education/archive/2013/09/no-point-in-applying-why-poor-students-are-missing-at-top-colleges/279699 ).

Anyway, if you think it's wonderful go and send your children to be inoculated. I didn't encourage my brilliant daughter to go there.

But I'm glad this young man had a chance.

there isn't a person standing in that room, young or older, who couldn't whup Tramps slimy ass academically. Oh, I forgot, Tramp was "top of his class", except he wasn't- and it certainly wasn't Harvard. Suck it, Nazis.

It is one of the trick parts of languages : sometimes the meaning is derailed if a sentence is not properly expressed. Especially when it comes to express feeling.

This is why I prefer to ask and correct if needed.
