Trump Assumes Female NSA Russia Specialist Is A Secretary, Demands She Re-write His Memo

Additional examples of treating women like flunkies and doormats.

H.R. "Puff n' Stuff" McMaster manages to score a top Russia expert for his National Security Advisor staff. 52 year old Fiona Hill has a PhD in Russian studies from Harvard, spent eight years in the JFK School of Government, three years on the National Security Council, and is currently on leave as the Director of the United States and Europe Center at the Brookings Institute.

First time Trump saw her, he assumed she was a secretary, shoved a memo that he'd scribbled on in her face, and told her to re-write it. When she hesitated, Trump blew up at the act of insubordination, and told McMaster to scold her...WHICH HE DID.

We all know Trump is a complete idiot. But McMaster is proving to be a particular disappointment. He became famous for writing a book called "Dereliction of Duty" about generals playing lapdog to LBJ during the Vietnam War. His next book should be entitled "Dereliction of Dignity."

"In one of her first encounters with the president, an Oval Office meeting in preparation for a call with Putin on Syria, Trump appeared to mistake Hill for a member of the clerical staff, handing her a memo he had marked up and instructing her to rewrite it.

When Hill responded with a perplexed look, Trump became irritated with what he interpreted as insubordination, according to officials who witnessed the exchange. As she walked away in confusion, Trump exploded and motioned for McMaster to intervene.

McMaster followed Hill out the door and scolded her, officials said."

Maybe he was trying to get somebody smarter to rewrite them so he wouldn't sound so utterly incompetent.

Oh who am I kidding, he's not that smart.

...was the cleaning lady, when she showed up for a meeting. This is basically the bizarro universe version of the BORIS YELTSIN Administration. I'm still waiting for them to find Trump passed out on the Oval Office carpet, cradling an empty bottle of vodka.

brother's alcoholism and subsequent death.

Now, fast food- that may be the poison that ultimately lands him unconscious on the Oval Office carpet.
I, for one, hope he's long gone before that happens.

I don’t know why I’d believe him about that, given how much he lies about everything else. I’m convinced he’s a coke head.

I realized about 45 years ago that the cleaning ladies and the secretaries actually run the world. I'd hesitate to say which (secretaries or cleaning ladies) is more powerful or matters more, but the both are infinitely more important than almost everyone else.

I figured out the cleaning ladies part when I was once literally ankle deep in paper trash. Shortly thereafter the cleaning lady showed up (and I'm genuinely sorry I don't recall her name all these years later) and after she got over her shock and horror at the mess she picked everything up. I must hasten to add that I and the other woman at that place helped her out fully because we knew what an incredible mess we'd made. The details aren't important, but I understood the absolute importance of the cleaning ladies.

The importance of secretaries was for me at least, a bit more subtle, but over time as I realized that men who could not type, who depended on their secretaries for 90% of what they accomplished, were the reason secretaries (mostly called administrative assistants these days) were the reason their businesses functioned.

Assholes like Trump could not begin to function without these two essentials.

I've NOT been impressed with either of those two generals working for Trump. Esp. Kelly, but definitely McMaster too.

Mattis strikes me as a little better, but -- I haven't seen all that much of him.
