An Alabama win for America

I was watching the election night coverage of the Alabama senate race on Tuesday night with my dad. At one point there was a side-by-side view of the election night parties of Moore and Jones. My dad said "look at this-on the right (Jones) it looks like America, on the left (Moore) it looks like, I don't know, a Klan rally? I guess this means America won" I have to agree. America won.

The success of a massive get-out-the-vote effort demonstrated that even in deep-red Alabama, it's possible to rally Democratic voters and get them to the polls.

But also giving credit where credit is due; to the 650,000 Trump-voting Alabamans who found Roy Moore just too repugnant and vile and chose instead to stay home and be able to look at themselves in the mirror the following morning.
