Jones is a longtime public servant who will genuinely want to improve the lives of his constituents. Brown was a narcissist who did very little in the MA legislature, and who cared more about the PR and political impact of a policy than about the impact it would have on people.

Jones is going to have a hard time holding on to this seat, no matter how hard he works. But there's little doubt that he is going to represent his state honorably and with all he's got.

I don't find the results last night encouraging though.

He barely won against a child molester and if he had not said he loved slavery it is entirely possible he would have still won.

Alabama remains deeply red.

Keeping Jones there would be awesome, but I don't have faith in Alabamians to look past the D or R unless circumstances are just extreme.
