This is Patricia Gaines, whose father, a liberal minister, was driven out of Selma in 1961 by Klansmen on horseback. She went back to Selma for the first time today to drive black voters to the polls.

They were angry at her dad for offering communion to blacks. The whole family fled in the middle of the night. With her father out of work, she entered beauty pageants to put herself through college.

I thought he was channeling the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, the Klan connection seems more likely- to Roy I guess it was a reference to the good old like his plug for slavery times.
