The Alabama Republican Party issued a statement on Tuesday's election results, claiming Alabamians will watch the issues he will support or try to stop and hold him accountable.

In Alabama Republican Party Chairman Terry Lathan's statement, she said the party is "deeply disappointed" in the results of Tuesday's election, and said Alabamians "have no intentions of moving toward the policies of the Democrat Party."

Five seconds with Google would confirm that's the Democratic Party, ma'am. Try not to make yourself look ignorant.

"During this campaign, we heard Mr. Jones repeatedly say he would talk about 'kitchen table issues' and that he would 'reach across the aisle' to work with Republicans. While these issues weren't discussed and no other Democratic Senator has worked with the Republicans, all eyes will be on his votes," Lathan said in the statement.

Well, she got to the lies pretty quickly. Points for efficiency, I guess.

Lathan concluded the statement with well-wishes for the holiday season.

"Now that this race has ended, may this holiday season of peace, love and hope resonate with everyone, regardless of one's political affiliation," she said.

Niiiiiiice touch. It goes so far to compensate for being the Party of Evil.

So, you know, track record and history.

But I do think that Doug Jones should take a little time to tell the people who didn't vote for him to take a fresh look at the Democratic party, and compare their record against the Republicans. Start off with one of their pet issues: Abortion. Republicans have been yammering for decades about abortion and how they want to outlaw it. They had total control of the White House and Congress from 2002 to 2006 and again for the last year. What did they do about abortion? No bills, no votes, no action. Do you get the idea they're leading you around by the nose? Because you should.

Let's look at the Democrats now. You getting those Social Security checks every month? Democrats. You able to see a doctor when you get sick? Democrats. Who's working to end the evil choice of getting paid or getting better by mandating paid sick leave? Democrats.

That's just for starters.
