I get it in general, but is that a "look" in the south outside of Nashville? Moore's thinking is flawed on several levels - is his fashion sense also impaired, or is there no stereotypical masculine trope in Alabama for him to use (or could he not pull off the others)? To me it smacks of W. trying to convince people (somehow successfully at times) that he was from Texas even though he used, "Summer," as a verb. He's presenting this cowboy image but has trouble riding a horse, and while wearing a white hat here, showed up in a black hat - traditionally for the bad guys in Westerns - to vote.

I can't help thinking he's a walking caricature...

He reminds a Belgian comic : Lucky luke series.

I don't know if you have heard about. The series take place in the American Old West. It is really funny.

One of the book is about judge Roy Bean :
