that, even with suppression, if WE get out and vote, we can beat these assholes. If it can happen in Alabama, it can happen anywhere in America.

3. As a NC resident I have to say the problem is gerrymandering.

NC is much better place politically than Alabama since it's a purple state that barely shifts to the right of the center. The problem is after 2010 the Republicans gerrymandered the state pretty badly that it's going to be very difficult to remove a lot of these republican congressmen. We really won't be able to make a difference until 2020 when it's time to redraw the districts again. Also there is no Senator that's up for re-election in 2018. With that being said I feel NC will follow VA's footsteps and become a blue state within the next 4-10 years.
