Dudebro Twitter is taking Moore's loss about the way we expected:

By this logic the Patriots should give away their Lombardis and tear down the team since their margins of victory weren't wide enough

Seriously, fuck these people...

There's plenty more but I'll end here since most of them are reading from the same talking points...

Lance Armstrong had his Tour de France wins voided because he couldn't play by the rules.

Also yes the fact that it took a Republican president with a mid 30s approval rating, a candidate that had been repeatedly rebuked for violating the Constitution while on the state Supreme Court, said America was great during slavery and sexually assaulted minors to get a 1.5% win is evidence we need to do more to convince people the Democratic party is better than Republicans.

We have benefited greatly from Republicans nominating some bats hit crazy candidates, Sharon Angle, Todd Akin, Roy Moore etc. But we need to be able to compete in more states. So that it doesn't take this sort of perfect confluence to win. Our system is set up to benefit small states, we can't just win the coasts. We need to be better up and down the ballot so we can win more elections and enact better policies than Republicans.

with a thousand obstacles stacked against us, because it obscures the bottom line: When we work, we win... When we get out our vote, we win... I guess the better sports analogy would be a 20-point underdog in football winning on the road -- You think they give a shit if they only won by a couple of points? On two major stages the heavily-favored Trump-endorsed candidate has lost and I see no reason why we can't keep this trend going... And yes, Ted Cruz should be shitting his pants about now...

End of story...

EDIT: We all know the Patriots are cheats; it's just not something we're allowed to discuss on DU

Increasingly irrelevant thank goodness. A tsunami of Democratic voters is happening and they will either get swept up or washed away.

“They’d bitch if they were being hung with a silk rope.”

The reality of Alabama is if Satan Himself was running as a Republican he’d probably win his election. If anyone but Roy Moore was on the GOP line Jones wouldn’t have won.

But don't ever ask these geniuses who know every damn thing about politics the last time they phone banked or canvassed or how many winning campaigns they've been a part of... Much much easier to sit on your ass and spew shit on Twitter while others do the heavy lifting...

It's not about Alabama. I'm sure you know that but just pointing that out for those that don't.

Also @ 'taking Moore's loss" as if 'Dudebro twitter' wanted him to win.

When did leftists get such a hard-on for whoring out for white moderate/conservative-moderate votes?? Am I the only one who remember a time not too long ago when so-called "establishment" Dems got bashed to no end for doing the same thing??

People in Alabama, especially African-Americans, understood what the stakes were in the special election. It is also important to note that if the DSA and other lefty groups got their way and ran some kind of socialist in Alabama we might have lost to friggin Roy Moore.
