We can overcome gerrymandering

Look US Senate races are not gerrymandered. We just won a seat that I didn't think we'd win in my lifetime.

In VA, there's a close house because the Democrats overcame a gerrymandered map.

Leave no race uncontested and stop using gerrymandering as an excuse.

One other thing - we need to stop trying to win over Republican voters. The key is for us to turn out our OWN voters and to appeal to left-leaning independent voters. Democrats seem to never learn this lesson, and they keep apologizing for being Democrats instead of proudly sticking to their convictions. Jones ran a great campaign in that regard - he never pretended to be Republican-lite. Voters admire people who stick to their convictions and who appear strong. In doing that, we might even win over a few Republicans, but that shouldn't be our sole focus!
