But, ButSeeYa, during the period of greatest prosperity and progressivism in our nation, moderates of both parties were able to work together to make it happen and create the national stability we must have to survive.

The right-wing extremists who have control now couldn't get control in that day because the center held, and neither could left-wing extremists, both of which thrive in bad times but not good.

That's the way it needs to be again. Alabama is not a predominantly liberal state, much less even farther left than that, and its elected officials need to reflect the wishes of the people of Alabama. Doug Jones seems a sensible man who'll do right by his state and continue to earn his people's trust.

If this election is an auger for the future, Republican voters in other states will finally reject extremism, far better quality conservatives will once again run for office, before the end of his 6-year term Doug Jones and his fellow Democrats will be able to vote with moderate Republicans to restore and once again advance our nation.

If that doesn't happen, Katie bar the door.

I would have hoped we'd learned our lesson about DINO's by now. Every Democratic seat that can help us get a majority is a good seat.
