Jones victory from 38,000 ft

Literally. I followed the results on Southwest Airlines live TV on a puddle jumper from Baltimore to Hartford. My wife and the passengers around me relied on me for updates. My favorite inquiry was from a 70-something woman who asked me if Jones was beating the sexual predator! High fives all around when the results were announced. I haven't smiled so much in a long time.
For the record, I was born in Mobile, but only lived there for a year, Air Force brat.
Regards,
Sorghum Crow

and all of the guests were Dems (except one). I left at 8:00 and put my PJs and MSNBC on, saw the news and ran over to my neighbors who were mingling at the door and told them the good news...the PARTY started all over again! WEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! It turned into an impromptu pajama party of sorts.

and the minute we had a break we were all huddled around checking different sites to see how it was going. Big happy when we found out he won. BIG happy. We all walked out smiling and talking about it.

We couldn't pull away from the coverage. Nervous as hell. Son came over and then stayed to watch it with us. And then we broke out the ice cream!

Moderate conservative David Frum of The Atlantic thinks this is an "earthquake" for the country: Doug Jones spoke mainly of decency and courtesy, not potentially divisive ideology, and won deep-red Alabama. Roy Moore lost, and he's not even the biggest biggest sexual abuser in the country. Donald Trump is. Republicans now have to worry about losing dozens of far weaker states to a return to decency.

Btw, while some were partying I was sleeping. When my husband came to bed, he woke me to tell me Jones won but accidentally said Moore. I sighed and rolled over to go back to sleep, but when he corrected himself I was UP! Party of one here celebrating with left-over Chinese takeout.
