with WWII and the Third Reich. Read everything I could as a youth. The wicked mind of a person like Hitler and how he could justify the murdering he authorized was compelling to me. That and the fact I was born just after the war and had relatives who told stories about their service. I felt I needed to understand more because it was so close to me personally. When I had the chance to visit Germany a couple of times I toured Dachau and talked to folks who lived there at the time. Apparently some of the castles have graves around them populated with Jews who were oppressed centuries ago. I came back with a better understanding of what happened to cause an entire country to fall into a dark abyss of hatred.

blown off on a bridge right before the battle of the bulge. spent over a year in the hospital before he could come home. 80 percent disability, but never showed it

miss you, dad. a real man, not like that monster and his racist fascist forbearer

I'm very lucky to be here today.

we can't let this happen here....no telling how close we are. hoping today helps wise people up to what kind of monsters these usurpers really are

sorry for the digression, but you made me think of things I've put away for awhile

gotta hit the hay......

best to you and everyone still up.....this captures it for me:
