Trump manages only 48-48 percent approval-disapproval among voters in deep-red Alabama. And those who “strongly” disapprove of the president’s work in office outnumber strong approvers by 9 points, 41 percent to 32 percent.

-- Reflecting the party’s built-in advantage in Alabama, more voters in the state want the Republican Party to be in control of the Senate than the Democratic Party, by 51-43 percent ...

... Jones is garnering support from more than a quarter of white voters, up by double digits over the 15 percent support Barack Obama received in the 2012 presidential election, the last year exit polls were conducted in the state. White voters make up a majority of Alabama voters and large majority of whites still support Moore - about 7 in 10 in early data - but he is significantly underperforming past Republicans among white groups ...

Almost a quarter of special election voters call themselves liberal, higher than 16 percent in presidential election exit polls in 2012 election and 12 percent in the 2008 election, the two most recent years where data are available ...

White evangelical Christians are the only group showing slight signs of slippage, making up 44 percent of voters compared with 47 percent of the state’s electorate in both 2012 and 2008 ...

By a roughly 20-point margin, more female Alabama voters say allegations of sexual misconduct against Roy Moore true than say they are false ...

... Forty-nine percent say they would like to see the GOP control the Senate. Slightly less — 44 percent — say they would like to see the Senate under Democratic control.

However, Moore is viewed unfavorably by most Alabama voters, with 55 percent saying they have an unfavorable view of him compared to just 48 percent who say they have an unfavorable view of Jones ...

NYT was showing that far more Jones votes remain to be counted than Moore leaning areas. CNN is now just mentioning it. If these stats are right, things look good for Jones, though I half want the Republicans to eat the shit sandwich of Senator Roy Albatross.

A Trump stronghold, one of the strongest, has voted Democratic! This is historic for Alabamy!

Jones is 12,000 votes ahead, and votes left in Mobile County, Birmingham's county, & another...two of which are coming in strongly for Jones.

BUT NBC IS NOT CALLING THE RACE.
