Man leaves nursing home to vote for Moore.

No, this isn't a 'news story'.
This is about the guy who used to be my closest friend.
This is the guy who was squadron mate when we were fighter pilots and immortal and bulletproof.
The guy I got drunk with and then we'd put each other's lives in our hands doing some really nuts and difficult stuff with airplanes.

The guy who was best man at my wedding in 1969.
That guy.

The guy who just a few years ago, much to my shock and surprise, told me "Yes, I believe Obama is a Muslim and he wasn't born in the U.S. It's all a scam that the Democrats have managed to pull off."

And this is the guy who got his wife to take him out of the hospital, then critical care facility, then rehab facility he has been in since his fall two months ago, concussion, brain bleed, stroke, heart afib, etc., ect.

At one point we all thought he was gonna die.

Today his wife was able to bail him out of the rehab unit and take him to vote.
I have absolutely no doubt that he voted for Moore.

I just don't want to be around him any more.

but after all that, if he wants to be a moore supporter, I'd drop him off the xmas card list and my facebook in a heartbeat.

Good luck.

Not being around him will be good for your bp.

Relationships evolve and it’s almost like a death. I’m so sorry that your friend has let you down. But make no mistake - he is in the wrong.

Hugs.

From what I've read, young republicans in Bama are torn asunder from this election.

Also from my experience working in nursing homes, his caregivers most likely to a person voted for Obama.

Perhaps I would be wise for your friend to keep harsh political opinions aside

He may or may not have a nursing home to be IN, let alone be treated for his ailments/sickness (IS this guy rich? IF not, YIKES).

(And this is the guy who got his wife to take him out of the hospital, then critical care facility, then rehab facility he has been in since his fall two months ago, concussion, brain bleed, stroke, heart afib, etc., etc).

Of course, he'll blame it on the Muslim & Democrats (Thought not in power), even though this tax cut for the rich bill which will destroy our economy belongs TO the GOP & fatso.

Win or lose tonight, you did good work for Alabama over the last few months. My fingers are crossed in Florida. Hopefully there are enough good people in Alabama to pull Jones to victory.

and I'm sorry to say that. I like you and wouldn't like to dump on your state. It sucks he maybe cancelled out your vote but he was a warrior and your brother. There's maybe a million gomers in your state that deserve to vote only because of when and where they were born and when they vote for the judge I'd like to take a cudgel to them, but this guy is a brother. In the service (and never even in combat) I learned that people way different whether by politics or even stupid shit like skin color could be my brother. My brother is a for real combat guy and if you went to Vietnam he respected you. If you wore the CIB you were his brother...

Soon he will die-as will both you and I. Both you and he are even with the house-any sins were paid for half a world away. If it brings you any enjoyment you should go swap old lies...Just sayin'...

I can see almost every reply slams your friend whereas if you had said he struggled to get out to vote against the judge he would be their hero...but in fact he is a hero of mine-he was an American fighter pilot. His vote today I disapprove of. Sometime I don't even agree with heroes.
