It would be a terrific reminder to everyone coming on here that this day is a special day, an election day.
After all, aren't we all about electing Democrats?
Google does some cool things with their logo and DU has plenty of dead space at the top where there could be an election day ticker or red-white-&-blue I Voted graphic or something.

but like today, would be a good excuse to liven up the site, like the big day is here!
