MSNBC exit polls show a close race but an edge to Jones

My interpretation but here is the most inmportant one

Trump favorability

Approve: 48%
Disapprove: 48%

You would think that this would mean that an edge for Jones, the real question is how many people supporting Moore avoided the exit pollsters because they held their nose.

Good analogy. The GOP has all of the bad you see in authoritarian regimes - but none of the good. sandensea Dec 2017 #6

Whatever else can be said about them, the PRI at the very least succeeded in pulling Mexico from a illiterate, medieval backwater situation when they took power in 1929, to one of the third world's most advanced countries by the time their run ended in 2000 (they returned, amid a highly questionable election, in 2012).

Today's GOP has become more like Mobutu (the infamous, CIA-installed Zairean dictator) or the 1976-83 Argentine dictatorship: Fascist, hostile, basically predatory and parasitical, and little else.

Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, and IKE are rolling in their graves.

I hope Jones wins the Alabama senatorial race. Before the 2016 election, I believed that we Americans were better people than the sorts who would vote for the likes of Trump and Moore. I want my belief back.

I'm not saying it never happens, just that IMO it's very rare.
