Exit Polls On MSNBC Paint A Grim Picture

They don't look good for Doug's chances. One says that they based their determination of who to vote for on their abortion position. Another had "who controls the senate" as the reason they voted the way they did.

MANY Alabamians claim to not CARE about Mall Rat Moore being a pedio (They don't like Dems and love fetuses), per Randi Rhodes reading an exit poll a few minutes ago.

Even rain cloud Kornaki and Chuck Toad said so. It’s frankly surprising to me Drumpf isn’t at least at 60 percent approval in a state like Alabama.

no matter what.

And, IT'S ABORTION, STUPID. Jones almost certainly would have won Alabama if he was anti-abortion.

I'm not claiming they're all genuinely committed to saving babies above all, because we know large numbers aren't really, but I am claiming that most BELIEVE they are. People who seemingly have abandoned in their political lives almost all principles, all mores, all intellectual considerations, even religion, still believe abortion is their line.

There's been so much focus on his sexual misbehavior that people forget how awful he is in so many other ways, like wanting to impose his brand of Christian theocracy on all Americans.

if Moore was running as a conservative Democrat? Knowing we'd be called the party of Roy Moore and to some degree having earned it? Knowing how much just one vote shifting from them to us could do for us?

Don't answer. We don't have to answer that one. That's their problem.

A Moore win is a problem for Republicans, but I still really want Republicans across the nation to see that Alabama chose a Democrat for senator. Even if it's by 5 votes.

Just spoke with a very well-connected Republican in Alabama who a few days ago was pretty sure Moore would win. He's feeling Jones has a "real shot" based on what he's seeing & hearing.

There was a government official from Alabama on Chuck Todd who just said the same thing. I'll be surprised if Doug wins, but I'm cautiously hoping.

After all, for them the only moral abortion is their own, because they had special circumstances, unlike all the other woman who are getting abortions every weekend for free on the government dime.

I also can't see it from my front yard.

I'm just a pessimist, and can't fathom why this is even a close race. Recent history shows how repubs somehow manage to win the close races these days.

And yes, I'm a conspiracy theorist, so if goes to the repub in a close race, that is where my mind will go.

No link and can't recall the exact numbers but one: 30% of voters African American. The commenter indicated anything over 25 is a good number

Also: favorable/unfavorable opinion of Trump, Jones and Moore gave slight edge to Jones

A favorable number of 48% for Trump regarded as lower than the %age he won the state by. Commenter indicated it should be over 60
