Roy Moore arrives at polling place on horseback to vote for himself in special election

Former Alabama state judge Roy Moore arrived at his polling station, the Gallant Fire Department, just after 11:30 a.m. eastern time Tuesday.
He showed up on horseback, riding his horse named “Sassy.”

“I think it’s a good thing to do, I won the last time I rode a horse, I think maybe have good favor,” Moore told CNN during his Republican primary runoff against Sen. Luther Strange.
Moore faces Democratic challenger Doug Jones Tuesday in the special election.

100% about English-style riding and jumping and dressage shows these days (every popular horse channel on YouTube except for one I can think of are centered on riders who ride English style and compete in dressage); Moore faux cowboy types are actually very rare honestly and thankfully. There are a few of the genuine old cowboys left like Buck the “real horse whisperer” (there is a great documentary about him).

The way Moore saws on his horse’s mouth, a sure sign of terrible riding skills no matter how many years one claims to have been riding, is criminal. That bit hurts, and he tears his horse’s mouth apart by relying on this for balance.
