Please post any information about how things are going today at the polls. Also, if anyone has read any news, please post.
We'd like to know what's going on!
Thanks.

(60,010 posts)No lines, but poll worker told me there is a heavy turnout, and people were coming in to vote in a steady stream, 5-6 folks signing in, when I was. In the few minutes it took to sign in, get my ballot, take it over to a table to mark it, there were 6 new people signing in. Maybe 2 minutes to leave the room and get to car, more people driving in. ( It was noon). Haven't seen it like that since Obama's elections. The telling thing is 400 ballots had been cast already ( by noon) and this is a one precinct of 4 in a small town of 6,000 people. Much more voting than in the primary.
Our precinct is mostly retired people, includes the Golf Course and a neighborhood of 300-400 k houses ( not mine) our immediate neighborhood is 50/50 black/white, mostly professionals.
There was one gentleman at the legal distance holding up a Doug Jones sign, I went over to talk to him, he only gave me his first name, and he was professionally dressed, no Southern accent. Breezy north wind, it was cold outside, so he either is paid to do it or VERY dedicated.
