So, I guess tRump "could" shutdown DU and others as "targeted action against bad actors."

as he proceeds to police the internet! Now, he can make our internet freedom like North Korea, China whatever he wants by stretching the rules/law.

"FCC, FTC announce partnership to police internet after net neutrality repeal"

http://thehill.com/policy/technology/364336-fcc-ftc-announce-partnership-to-police-internet-after-net-neutrality-repeal

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced an agreement on Monday to coordinate their efforts to police the internet once the latter agency has repealed its net neutrality rules.

On Thursday, the FCC is expected to approve the plan to scrap the Obama-era consumer protections that prohibit internet service providers from discriminating against, or favoring, certain websites. Under the proposal, the FCC would get rid of the conduct rules governing broadband companies and cede authority over the industry to the FTC.

“The Memorandum of Understanding will be a critical benefit for online consumers because it outlines the robust process by which the FCC and FTC will safeguard the public interest,” FCC Chairman Ajit Pai said in a statement. “Instead of saddling the Internet with heavy-handed regulations, we will work together to take targeted action against bad actors.”

Could an independent browser, team up with a pirate satellite to circumvent a potential internet censorship? Certainly this subject is being explored?
The massive corporate net providers would still enjoy their billions in captive audiences and initially perhaps be unable to contain other offshore providers.
This subject will get complicated very quickly.

we're sliding back into WWII era. Somehow with modern technology we will get info, but will the masses. I listen to the English version of Radio Havana occasionally, interesting perspectives on the US and Trump. Someone in some thread said this could also be used to maybe stop people from ordering cheaper prescriptions from other countries. As many Americans snooze, this guy is building a dictatorship and the GOP is more than willing.

....and then again if they succeed in removing Net Neutrality, they can control the access to those sites even from outside the US that people want to connect with....

This is really some dystopian nightmare we are moving into...
