Earlier:
Before you parade your child on social media, sobbing about being bullied, and then have celebrities rally behind you, you might want to clean up your own racist social media posts. Thats exactly what Keaton Jones mother, Kimberly Jones, didnt doand now her past Facebook posts are coming back to bite her in her racist ass.
Over the last 72 hours, actors, athletes and regular folks on social media have rallied behind Keaton Jones, a Union County, Tenn., middle schooler, after his tear-filled video went viral. They rallied so much that a GoFundMe has raised over $55,000, and hes received numerous invites to big-time Hollywood movie premieres.
But wait, theres more.
After internet detectives found Kimberly Jones Facebook page, they realized that she may be on the wrong side of history when it comes to her love of the Confederate flag:

So, sure, Keaton may be the victim of vicious bullying (and also may have called a few classmates the n-word, which was noted on Kimberly Jones Facebook page before she closed it), and his mother is using his pain for her own interests, but its ironic that shes willing to accept money from black athletes and other celebrities that she would probably consider butt hurt Americans.
Of course Jones Facebook has now been locked down and her privacy settings have been updated.

(6,568 posts)A video if a man being denied permission to address his city council goes viral.
Bloggers and Bloggers from all over US come to the town in support of the man.
When he finally gets to speak, they find out he's a racist conspiracy theory nutter.

(1,148 posts)I saw this coming a mile away. It should have been enough to condemn the bullying - inviting one white kid to movie premieres and such won't solve the problem.
Also, I see videos of racist harassment on social media every day, and they don't get nearly as much attention. This morning I saw one video of a bunch of Trump supporters calling a five-year-old protester a "terrorist".

(25,485 posts)I wonder how the black kids he was bullying and calling racial slurs feel?..

(15,317 posts)I haven't seen any evidence that the kid did any bullying.

(15,317 posts)So, that's kind of what I thought. I was never all that warm and fuzzy about the mom to begin with, because I hate parents who post videos of their children in distress on social media. So, it's not like I was biased toward her to begin with.

(15,317 posts)Try Twitter? How do I look up something like that on Twitter? You made the claim, you could have provided some links. Or were you just interested in making another DUer look bad? EDIT can't find a thing about him the being a bully at all. Anywhere.

(37,748 posts)Who is arguing the child should be bullied?
kcr
(15,317 posts)I hope DU doesn't turn that way. But there is ugliness elsewhere. A child doesn't deserve to be bullied because of who their parents are.
