White supremacy equals racism?

On a progressive radio program today guests were discussing whether there's a difference between white supremacy and racism.

IMO there's little difference. The current iteration of white supremacy, the alt-right, is just racism 2.0 gussied up in a coat and tie with informal attire being white golf shirts and kakis.

Anyone care to weigh in?

We have been rescuing them for the past 20 years. Over those years, we have had the pleasure of taking care of over 40 different wonderful ferts. We only have atm, but, like all the rest, he gets treated like a friggin king.

They are one of the coolest pets I have ever owned. Each with their own distinct personality. Just awesome!

15. Yes, they are wonderful.....

they are not for everyone though. The reason we have rescued so many over the years is because of "impulse" buys. They are so cute and adorable that people buy them not knowing that they are high maintenance pets. Every time I think of one of these fantastic animals stuck into a small cramped cage with no love I get very sad.
Think before you buy people. Research them.

Are they envisioning some sort of person who wants white people segregated from other races but admits they are no better than people of other races?

6. White supremacy is racism. Always has been - past, present, future.

Racism: prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.

Supremacy: the state or condition of being superior to all others in authority, power, or status.

Supremacist: an advocate of the supremacy of a particular group, especially one determined by race or sex.

Meaning a white supremacist believes being white makes them better/superior than/to all others because of their white skin.

That's racism.

12. Yeah, but many might not like it, my weighing in, I mean. If one has to ask if there is a difference

between a racist and a white supremacist, and they are white, then they are probably a racist.

White supremacy is racism. Sadly, racism is available in many colors. In the end it's still racism.
