Congratulations to Seth Abramson...his dogged pursuit of the true motivations behind Comeys actions in the days before the election has at last led to some light shining on this potential obstruction of justice!

(2,034 posts)A healthy skepticism is to be applauded, but Seths bio is easily available through his twitter feed. He does not pretend to be a career journalist. He is a concerned citizen with a particular set of skills, and a laudable example of citizenry in action in these times of resistance!

This Republican move is part of a big plot to bring down the Mueller investigation into Trump/Russia activities.
Abramson is a cynical exploiter of ignorance, but a traitor colluding to subvert our democracy by closing down the investigation? Probably not.
He just tweets that information he usually read in newspapers 2 or 5 9 months ago when the rest of us did is new information only he has.

Difficult to envision it in reality.

(13,259 posts)There are Democratic congressmen who are seeking evidence. Hardly means Congress will investigate.

(2,034 posts)There is enough evidence (both through Abramsons digging and other sources) for members of Congress to investigate the events to some extent though, regardless of whether or not the controlling party obliges. With all the smoke and mirrors thrown up around the deeds of these current and former agents in the days leading up to the election, I take any attention put on this as a step in the right direction. And if Congress knows about this avenue of investigation, I suspect that Mueller et al. do as well.

(33,643 posts)discount the notion as specious right from the git-go, as much as possible ... Dog knows TRUMP & the GOP have certainly earned ALL the benefit of fucking doubt at this point in the proceedings. Uh ... NOT.
