1. I think he surely will try.

4. I don't think he can fire him directly, he will try to get somebody to fire him

Sessions, or the deputy director, or get congress to defund the investigation.

5. Once either Trump Jr or Kushner are indicted, it will be impossible to remove Mueller without

having a devastating affect on Trump's credibility, even within his own party. I hope the indictments are soon. If Mueller goes, the investigations into crimes will still continue. For these reasons, I don't think Mueller will be fired.

It's about a 1 in 3 chance. But one of those 3 is after it becomes obvious that Mueller has gotten as far as he's gonna get, Trump will fire him mostly out of spite. Trump will also do it however if Mueller gets too close to the family. The only way he doesn't is if Mueller winds up his investigation without getting anywhere near the family.

7. He has to fire Rosenstein and replace him with someone who fires Mueller.

And as I understand the statute Mueller can only be fired for cause and can sue to get his job back.

I think he may do it. Fox News and others are frantically trying to discredit Mueller before he gets to Trump. Then again it's hard to predict anything he would do. As long as he is in office, there is the question as to whether a sitting president can be impeached.
