1. Republicans have been using the same mantra for decades

and the fools still buy it despite the wars, recessions and oppression it has caused.

They just hear those dog whistle words, start salivating and run out to vote against their own best interests

2. 'Morning Joe' played this over and over and urged people to listen carefully.

They were hinting there's a problem. They were frowning with concern. They suggested that people listen and decide for themselves.

Then Joe said it's similar to the problem he had with his words at the end of his Jerusalem speech.

So yeah, they WENT there.

5. His speech impediment is not the issue
Mon Dec 11, 2017, 09:43 AM

The biggest issue is his lies, and the simple message that has a scary feeling of George Orwell's "1984" method of communication.

I strongly suggest everyone read this article, and please pass it around, this is real:

Also, Paul Krugman's warning should be taken very seriously:

"I've been mostly writing and tweeting about economics, simply because others are covering things like the Mueller investigation very well and I know something about econ. But the tax bill, awful as it is, isn't what keeps me up at night 1/
What's obvious, looking both at Trump and Trumpist media, is that they are terrified. They know or strongly suspect that revelations of massive corruption and collusion are just around the corner. What we already know would have led to impeachment proceedings if Trump were D 2/
And the fact that they're terrified should have us terrified. These are people with authoritarian instincts, no respect for democratic norms, facing personal ruin, disgrace and quite possibly jail time. They will lash out -- and it will be a moment of truth for America 3/"

8. Thanks for the link. I'd like to post a few sentences (out of many) that are terrifying to me:
Mon Dec 11, 2017, 11:42 AM
Dec 2017

"The Republicans in Congress are about to get brutal. Everything you think they wouldn’t dare do, they will do. They will strike quickly and broadly. By the time you understand the breadth of their destruction, they’ll be rolling and you’ll be trying to figure out how to respond.

Nothing is sacred. Expect attacks on the social safety net, including Social Security and Medicare. The third rail of American politics now has a short in it. The social contract that we built in the New Deal and Great Society is in tatters.

These aren’t Ronald Reagan Republicans. They’re Cal Coolidge folks. We’re going back to the Roaring Twenties, complete with Robber Barons and massive income inequality."

btw, I respectfully disagree about his speech. If he is increasingly slurring his words, the Country needs to know the underlying issue that's causing it.

4. Joe asked what this sentence even means:
Mon Dec 11, 2017, 09:20 AM
Dec 2017

"His vote is our Republican Senate and it is needed"

Joe was asking, what was he trying to say and how does this make sense?

6. The people he is addressing know what it means
Mon Dec 11, 2017, 09:46 AM

They don't need an analysis of grammar, writing, anything, they understand the message, it is meant for them, a simple message for simple minds. No analysis needed.

7. How in the hell is Jones a puppet of Pelosi and Shumer?

How? He is a lawyer in Alabama, who has never been in Congress? What the fuck is this delusional bullshit?

How in the fuck do these people get away with just fucking lying about everything?

Edited because I am so angry I can't even type.

11. "Remember how great America was? Back when old guys could diddle little girls.
Mon Dec 11, 2017, 04:20 PM

Back when nobody cared if you dynamited a church. Back when the poll tax kept poor people from voting. Back when women weren't allowed in the election booth. Back before slavery was illegal. Back when we were all happy. Make America great again! Vote for Roy!"
