Doug Jones needs black voters to beat Roy Moore in Alabama. They arent there yet.

I have seen articles like these throughout this election.

"Honestly speaking, I'm not that excited about either one of them," Dawson said of Democrat Doug Jones and Republican Roy Moore as he shaved a client at the barber shop he's run for 23 years in Birmingham's historic black business district.

A Jones field office sits just a few steps away, smack in the middle of a row of black barber shops and take-out joints lined up along 4th Avenue. But Dawson, who is black, said he hasn't felt compelled to step inside. "I don’t know Doug Jones," he said.

Still, Dawson will vote for him. "He's a Democrat, I'm a Democrat. And I've got to exercise my right to vote," Dawson said.

Two questions come to mind.

1. Is it true? Will African Americans not come out to vote for Jones in the numbers that would make a win possible? Does Jones have a ground game to get the turnout in AL's Black Belt?

the American people can and do vote based on any issue they damn well please. whether it is foreign policy, taxes, the environment or the sincerity of their smile

but nothing makes me quite as furious as someone saying they "don't know about a candidate". that is just LAZINESS. this is the information age and it is all at our fingertips. Don't know about Doug Jones? LOOK IT UP, make a choice. an apathetic Democrat is EVERY BIT as dangerous to this country as a deplorable.

As to whether Jones is engergizing the African American community, he's hesitant, and notes that he, Siegelman, took many years to do so. Jones hasn't been around long.

Doug Jones put KKK members behind bars who bombed the Birmingham Church that killed four young AA girls. Just that alone should get AA voters to the polls to support him. There is not a white politician on either side of the aisle that can top that. But go ahead AA voters and remain apathetic and give Trump another vote in Congress because he has done so much for your community this past year. The only thing he manages to do is attack an AA and get in a confrontation with them pretty much every week on twitter. Seriously, wake up and vote, or let the racist pig continue to go after and take away government programs that a lot of black people heavily rely on. Your call.
