Trump walked out on meeting with Fox’s Judge Jeanine Pirro as she ranted about Hillary and Comey: report

The Times reports that Pirro — known as Judge Jeanine on her Fox News show — asked to meet with Trump in early November to discuss her obsession with former Hillary Clinton’s supposed approval to sell uranium to the Russians.

With Chief of Staff John Kelly and White House counsel Donald F. McGahn II in attendance, Pirro — who once ran against Clinton for a U.S. Senate seat representing New York — attacked special counsel Robert Mueller and accused former FBI director James B. Comey of “employing tactics typically reserved for Mafia cases,” claims a White House insider briefed on the meeting.

The report states that Trump became upset when Pirro decried hardball legal tactics, reminding her that hard-charging McCarthy-era attorney Roy Cohn was once his mentor who might serve him well now as one of his defenders.

The White House source reports that at one point in the meeting, Kelly grew weary with Pirro’s rant, with the White House Chief of Staff interrupting her to tell her she was “not helping things.”

The report notes that Trump “eventually tired of Ms. Pirro’s screed,” and walked out on her.

You can read the whole report here.

TalkingPoints Memo, Yahoo, The Hill, Newsweek and any number of publications do it. Wait until tomorrow, when the Sunday Magazine is actually published, by Monday news sites will be loaded with stories lifted from this very large piece by the Times.

That's the site that deserves the traffic since they did the actual reporting.

you have to look at it from another perspective. Russia is a big player, but just that, a player of much larger criminal network. Russia has utilized this network to advance its own interest, but they have heavily overtaxed it and risk its destruction by exposing elements that don't want to be seen. It's akin to banks gaming the financial system and then walking away after they have collapsed everything when they could have just tempered their actions and made the corruption sustainable.

The smaller elements are starting to grasp the concept of "no honor among thieves," as they appeal in vain to "shut things down" and stop rocking the boat. We are going to see a lot more seemingly random people come out of the woodwork adopting vehement points as to why Mueller should be stopped. They have a personal, unseen stake and they don't want to be left holding the bag. Look no further than Nunes jumping out of cars in the middle of the night and making nonsensical cases of unmasking or Pat Robertson trying painfully to read through technical legal justifications for Mueller's termination.
