Sean Hannity, Don Jr. etc and the pictures of her behavior with the troops on 2006 USO tour?
I am still sickened that the right got away with this blatant hit job to take one of the last New Deal fighters in the Senate and livid that the Democrats capitulate yet again!

(16,189 posts)Ironic, the comment that sex was a safe topic in those shows

(13,081 posts)Including the you wrote this just so you could kiss me on rehearsal part in various forms, from videos to soldiers recollections.
By the time Tweeden accompanied him, he was on his seventh year of doing that skit on USO tours with many different female leads. He did so many USO shows that she went out of her way to go to his USO award dinner a few years later, and she was so proud to have done the tour with him that she reposted the grabby photo on Facebook on the fifth anniversary.
(I think Franken got Karl Rove-d by Roger Stone. Kerrys strong point is his Vietnam record? Hit him there. Gores strong point is his intellectualism? Hit him there. Franken has a reputation for the USO shows and standing up for women? Hit him there. Franken gave a well-intentioned but nebulous denial, the media went into their sex frenzy, and that it was all over except the Yogi Berra sayings.)

(16,189 posts)I dont blame every single one of the 32 equally some may have deferred to the judgment of the crowd, maybe they were inundated by bot-generated comments or by further fake evidence.
Who knows?
But Im angry that their poor judgment and/or desire for convenience or naïveté allowed this to happen. Its ludicrous.

(16,967 posts)The show is very predictable and formulaic and heavily features men lusting and jeering after some scantily clad women who are offered up to them. (I read your other post and think that's the irony you are trying to portray here.)
What I find also strangely absent is the lack of criticism of the show in its entirety by any politician. Why isn't Gillibrand calling for an end to this misogynistic display. It's been going on for decades and it's the same schtick. She should be putting in a word to dissolve the USO show as we know it if she truly wants to have the "conversation." Same with Tweeden. Why aren't they calling out the show? Why only Franken after decades of this raunch.

(8,694 posts)So they swallow whatever story on face value. Roger Stone counted on that very fact. He is evil, not stupid. He knew to throw out the photo, weave a story around it, and no one would question it.
