her response to the fucking perverts Moore and Trump is it's up to the Republicans to decide what to do with them ? look at this fucking joke of an interview . And Just as We are getting closer to the Alabama Senate Election where a Child Predator is running she just posted on her twitter something about Clinton and Lewinsky .
also, notice how opposed she is to any enquiry into the allegations and saying how that would be horrible for the victims. she is very clear on that. fucking disgusting fraud.

(12,022 posts)And she claims he thinks he can "do whatever he wants" to women. Did he tell her that? Or was it just a voice in her head?

He doesn't even get an Ethics Hearing...That would be too hard on the accusers.
What about all the people who voted for him?

(4,428 posts)This is what happens when you hitch yourself to the zero tolerance, no investigation needed wagon. And all the Democratic Party beltway geniuses will sit around on election night 2018, wondering why the dems are losing. Again.

(44,974 posts)Because clearly, upon any such accusations, even anonymous, they would have to immediately resign, without an investigation. That's the standard they set.

(52,166 posts)Victims of any crime or insult have a right to be taken seriously. They don't have a right to have people fired upon their mere say so and they sure don't have the right to over turn elections upon their mere say so. The people of MN elected Franken twice, before we decided that the rest of the Democratic caucus of the Senate knew better than they did, I think at the very least a hearing should have been held. It isn't about Franken, it is about MN.

(8,694 posts)They posed for a photo and he put his hand on her WAIST. This is why we lost our Senator.
Outrageous. I am so angry about this lynch mob.

(16,966 posts)Maybe she should post about women poaching someone's else's husband and flashing their panties in the workplace (Lewinsky). Why would she leave that part out??
And her claim that the "victims" are spared now from reliving the "pain" -- of having their pictures taken when they have a fat roll that they are self-conscious about. Please. This is such a rotten shame that this kind of trivialization is taking place when REAL conversations need to be had. Not superficial crap like this. OMG, the loss of a brilliant Senator over *this* superficial tripe. This incident has completely set this whole "conversation" back. Now the focus is on this pettiness and the real wolves slip in anyways. grrrr. smh.

(17,984 posts)Al Franken is resigning because eight years ago she was overweight and felt uncomfortable with her body. That is what I am hearing in the interview. It really had nothing to do with him grabbing her waist. If she had been skinnier, it would not have mattered. But at the time she was "fat", so Franken must resign.
In what universe am I living where this even makes sense in the slightest?

(10,721 posts)I met Franken in DC in Jan. I thanked him for legitimizing comedians everywhere. Way to go, Senator! (July 2009)
Now, not wanting to come forward is one thing (sadly, it's understandable why many women don't). But to go out of her way to praise the guy 6 months later makes her 2017 accusation very suspect.

(1 post)I rented a house to Tina Dupy back starting in early 2003 and she is not an evil or dishonest person, just mediocre while unfortunately holding a very inflated opinion of herself and her talents. Don't take my word for it; look at her old website which you can find at Way Back Machine where it is archived when she was trying to distinguish herself as a stand up comedian and writer. (https://web.archive.org/web/20060409205936/http://tinadupuy.com:80/wp/) She tried to build up a following doing a Chelsea Handler shtick (who is awful) but she was even less funny. Her constant use of glamour shots (https://web.archive.org/web/20060409205936/http://tinadupuy.com) is not what you typically see from a person who wants to be taken seriously for their work, rather than having their looks help them get their foot in the door. I don't think she was afraid of hard work, she just has absolutely no talent as a comedian and nothing special or unique to say as a writer. So she's been trying to "be somebody" for the last 15 years with no real understanding of how much more talented the people are that she is competing against. She's been trying to get her 15 minutes in the sun which she probably thinks will help her get to where she needs to be career wise, without at all considering just how talented and valuable Al Franken is to the very causes she supports and making it that much harder for him to get a fair hearing. (I don't have a final judgement of Franken, but he certainly deserved a fair hearing which she made that much harder.) By coming forward with her pretty unimpressive episode, she just succeeded in piling on at the worst moment. But she needs to get her attention. She probably has some delusion that The Atlantic is going to offer her an editorial post or something. Really look over her old website and I believe my views on her will have the ring of truth. She was selling t-shirts of herself for years (with just her face with the word "obnoxious" underneath it). At one point her site had a quote up that said "You are too good-looking to be a comedian", attributed to some random guy. There were no compliments from any women. What a surprise. She's exactly the kinda of attention craving person one would fear in this situation who has no appreciation for what's at stake. Boy, the editors at The Atlantic really failed at their job in the most basic way. I will never think of that magazine in the same way again. For the record, I had no problems with Tina and her fiance/husband as tenants and I had nothing against her until this article was published in the Atlantic, which made me remember her website and how it and this episode dovetailed with her need for attention and her general mediocrity.
