If you subscribe to Sirius XM, contact them now

http://ew.com/movies/2017/12/08/seth-rogen-cancels-sirius-interviews-steve-bannon/

Seth Rogen is taking a stance. On Friday, the comedian and actor announced he was cancelling a Sirius XM press tour that had been planned for next week, in protest of the radio network recently bringing back the right-wing provocateur as a regular host on its conservative Patriot Channel.

“I was supposed to do a press tour on @SiriusXM on Tuesday but I’m no longer doing it because I can’t bring myself to appear on the same service that has decided to support Steve Bannon,” Rogen tweeted. “Apologies to the shows I had to cancel. And f— Steve Bannon.”

My subscription is due for renewal soon; I just told them if they hire Bannon, I'm done.

Just me - they don't care, but if enough others do it - they'll think twice.

when I travel all over the Northeast I'm searching for FM stations every 15 minutes and most of them are rap, country (yeah, country!) or rightwing bullshit. AM is hopeless.

NPR, PRI, and TV news channels help keep me sane.

on the way up to Montreal there was a stretch of 87 where there was nothing, nada, zilch for a couple of hours. I missed cell calls every time I went up there.

But there was Sirius.`

Same thing with parts of PA through the Poconos. No cell and you lost radio signals in the valleys. Even lost Sirius once in a while, but that was only for a minute or so at most.

Obas speech writers are building a whole.stable of shows that are excellent.

Check out crookedmedia.com

Robert rieche has the resistance report.

There are many more more than enough to keep you busy on the car.

I pressed send. It sat there on the display for a couple of minutes, then I was disconnected with a communications error.

I live in Texas were you can't get any decent radio aside from NPR. SeriusXM has a couple of progressive channels that I need. I will not cut off my nose to spite my face.

If you are a sub and have concerns, email them. They also carry the Fox Newschannel and the so-called Patriot channel, but all of that isn't enough to make me want to cancel. If you don't like Bannon being on, don't tune the channel in. It's the same with any other provider like cable TV.

There are lots of channels I don't listen to on there. What's the purpose of the boycott? to restrict the channels conservatives can listen to? Why? Why shouldn't conservatives be able to tune into stations they like on Sirius?

No one is forcing anyone to listen to those channels. I mainly listen to MSNBC, CNN, BBC, and CNBC. On long drives, the comedy channels as well.

The most important thing we can do is publicize right-wing propaganda.

This effort to lobby Sirius exposes right-wing propaganda.

Besides registering voters and working on turnout there is NO MORE powerful step you can take RIGHT NOW than working against right-wing propaganda. Like Bannon.

A sub to Google music and you can have all the talk shows and music you could ever want for peanuts playlists and podcasts downloaded over WiFi when you have a connection for playback when you don't

Been doing it for years now but great podcasts have really hit their stride in the last year or so.

With a sub to google music it allows you to build playlists or even just subscribe to prebuilt lists sort of like a radio station that can be downloaded for offline play for when you are away from wifi. All you have to do is check a box that says make available for offline use and there are no commercials.

When you subscribe to the podcasts you can set how many episodes to grab at a time so that as you listen to them it will re download more any time you are in range of wifi automatically so it is pretty much set it and forget it. Some shows I listen to can run 3 hours an episode so three of those and I am good for most of a day.

It also includes Youtube red which removes the adds on you tube which is actually very nice when you are near WiFi. not only that but the sub can be used on multiple devices so when you are home you can stream from your computer or wifi enabled speakers.

I do the family plan for 14.95 a month and it lets my whole family have their own unlimited subs. It's a great bargain.

Really, Steve Bannon is the worst - there is no question.

I did not like cancelling, I work at home and listen to Sirius all day, I have a rt 4 hr drive that I do every other weekend. It's going to suck without Sirius but I cannot give money to Steve Bannon, it appears many others think this is no big deal.
