Some posters are suggesting it might better for us to "drop out", implying that it doesn't

matter anymore. While I suspect some of it is because of the disappointment and frustration some legitimately feel, I also suspect there may be some whose intentions are not so honorable, but perhaps have an agenda, such as depressing voter turnout.

Now I wonder who would have that kind of agenda?

Sometimes it passes, sometimes it doesn't.

There was eventually a point I just ceased to care about my brother's incessant fuckups too.

in order to win. While the Dems will force one of their own to resign with scant evidence and anonymous accusers. Now you tell me which side is going to win.

but I know that even the slightest anonymous suggestion will end in the guy (meant in a non-gender specific way) I voted for being drummed out of office without even an investigation.

Our party doesn't need outsiders to destroy us. The circular firing squad will do 90% of the work for them.

and I have voted in literally every election since I turned 18.

But, now more than ever, I don't feel like it does a bit of good. Even if we get someone who will fight for us, you know, human people, no corporate persons, not the donor class, but actual regular people, they will be gone very quickly if they anger the powers that be.

It feels increasingly futile and yet, I will still vote for Dems because that is my only real choice.

And I will encourage my children to learn skills that will allow them to live in other places in the world to escape the third world hellhole our once-great nation is becoming.

whether Franken should stay or go, but I am developing strong feelings about the anti-party rants that are dominating DU this afternoon, and am becoming suspicious of the motives and apparent lack of critical thinking behind many of them.
