Trump first year job creation lags Obama's last year

In compiling stats for 2016 versus 2017, it looks like Trump's first year that he is bragging about so much is still lagging behind Obama's last year in terms of job creation.

Using stats from the Bureau of Labor Statistics:

https://data.bls.gov/timeseries/CES0000000001?output_view=net_1mth

And, yes I know that the president is not responsible for job creation, and that the first fiscal year under Trump did not start until October 1, 2017, but Trump likes to brag about this year of 2017 as being so great solely because of him...

1,762,000 jobs created for the first 10 months of 2016
1,685,000 job created for the first 10 months of 2017

And, for good measure, there were 2,202,000 jobs created in 2015 in the first 10 months, and 2,431,000 in the first 10 months of 2014.

Trump's total through 10 months is barely keeping ahead of US population growth.
