I became a big fan on Jan 6th when she stood up, with Senators Barbara Lee and Sheila Jackson Lee, to object to the electoral college vote to accept the fucking moron as fake prez. I wrote to them to thank them. I keep notes. That same week Neera Tanden responded to my letter about that issue and "the Russian issues" which she told me were very important and to "stay engaged and keep calling and to stay focused".
I have followed her advice. She is on a lot of news shows and I value her opinion.

Trump was likely bankrupt in 2008 when the crash happen d. Nobody would lend him money and he was over extended and debts were being called in. That is one of the angles they are looking into, to see if Russian banks owned by oligarchs bought the Trump loans. Then they could forgive the loans and Deutche Bank could keep lending to Trump knowing that even if he didn't pay the Russians would buy the loans. Money Laundering 101.
