Embattled Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore in an interview Monday suggested that Democratic billionaire donor George Soros is going to hell.

"No matter how much money he's got, he's still going to the same place that people who don't recognize God and morality and accept his salvation are going," Moore, a Christian, told radio host Bryan Fischer in an interview. "And that's not a good place."

The Alabama Republican said that Soros has been "trying to alter the voting populace" in the state, but disagreed with the host's suggestion that Alabama felons would vote for his Democratic opponent Doug Jones, an apparent reference to a Breitbart News story on Soros-backed groups and an organization working to register felons to vote.

"He is pushing an agenda and his agenda is sexual in nature, his agenda is liberal, and not what Americans need," Moore added of Soros.

Sadly, it comes from all directions, including other Jews, which really pisses me off. Soros has been a heavy donor to many liberal causes, especially ones which irritate right-wingers. So, the whole "rich Jew running the world" comes into play, which is fucked up as one of the biggest donors of the right is also a Jew, Adelson. Of course, he is also reviled by the far right because he is a Jew, and reviled on the left because he is an asshole, but many on the left also seem to think the use of anti-Semitism against him is "acceptable"; it isn't.

And I know you didn't either, but (maybe) people who don't know a dog whistle when they hear one might not realize all the subtext behind saying Soros is going to hell for not recognizing "God" (which also displays Moore's ignorance of Judaism) - and "accepting salvation". (the give-away)

Now, some will claim he is merely talking about not accepting Jesus means Soros is going to hell but they would be wrong. Since, like - forever - bigots have attempted to cloak their hate and ignorance that way...and without exception, in my experience so far, people who talk about Jews going to hell always - and I do mean always - like to say Jews killed Jesus - and not because they are expressing a religious belief either. They're actually listing their "acceptable" (to their thinking) justifications on why they hate Jewish people and hiding behind their so-called religious beliefs to do it. And the fact is, they all use that same list of justifications in an attempt to make their hate look like religious objections - when in reality it's nothing more than hate and ignorance dressing up in the holier-than-thou- I am saved - Can I get an Amen suit.
