3. Isn't it simply he didn't say President-Elect? Or was the story simply wrong?

Anyway, I like the post. Exactly right.

"candidate" but it was following the selection in November so he was incorrect which implicated a different crime so to speak... the sacred stock market took a slight stumble, allegedly, on that news so... off with his head.

17. A candidate speaking with the head of a foreign government, amid allegations

of election tampering is far more likely to be illegal (at all) than a president-elect who could legitimately start to work on relationships with other foreign leaders (so perhaps not a crime at all - just a major break with protocol).

14. There's a significant difference between a candidate talking to the head of Russia
Sun Dec 3, 2017, 05:23 PM

and a president-elect talking with a future peer to set the stage for future relations.

The latter is in extremely bad form but less likely to be illegal per se.

It's not just a matter of using the wrong word.

8. This was not Ross's first rodeo.

Which is why he got suspended. He has a long history of these mistakes.

In 2001, Ross incorrectly reported that Saddam Hussein was responsible for anthrax attacks that terrorized the United States in the months after 9/11. The White House told ABC News not to go with the anthrax story because it was wrong. Ross went with it anyway - and one week later issued a "never mind" scorrection.

In 2006, Ross reported that then-House Speaker Dennis Hastert was a target of a federal corruption probe involving former lobbyist Jack Abramoff. Despite the Justice Department's denial, Ross insisted that Hastert was "very much in the mix" of the investigation. Hastert was never approached by prosecutors.

In 2010, Ross filmed a report called "Taking on Toyota," which claimed that some of the Japanese automaker's cars contained a defect that caused "unintended acceleration." The report included footage of a tachometer shooting from 1,000 to 6,200 RPM in seconds while Ross sat behind the wheel. However, the same footage showed that the car Ross was sitting in was parked with the doors open at the time. It turned out the report was set up by a paid consultant who was working for lawyers suing Toyota.

In 2012 Ross said the Colorado movie theater shooter was a Tea Party member. Ross said he found the name in the phone book. It turned out to be a completely different person and Ross had to apologize.

Stephen Glass and his "reporting" for 'The New Republic'. What a ball of snot that turned out to be!

It's better that they suspend Ross now, before he causes some damage they can't dig themselves out from under.

We all know it violates Republican Sacred Law to compliment any Democrat.

And it breaks their 11th Commandment to criticize any Republican.
