So, These Were The SAME Republicans Who Thought 25 Days Of Debate On Obamacare Was TOO FAST?
Do you remember McConnell and Boehner whining...ENDLESSLY....CONSTANTLY... that Democrats were "rushing" the ACA "Obamacare" bill through Congress TOO FAST? And that they had to "start again" from a "blank sheet of paper," and "hit the RESET button," and get some bipartisan support...otherwise it was just TYRANNY of the majority.
I remember every single one of those phrases coming out of McConnell's flaccid pie hole.
And they just did the following:
-Wrote a Senate bill overhauling the entire Tax Code without even SHOWING it to most Republican Senators, or ANY Democratic Senators.
-Shoved in a page of amendments from lobbyists at the last minute, which nobody was even allowed to read.
-Passed it out to the Senators TWO HOURS before voting on it...WITH HAND-WRITTEN ADDITIONS in the margins....and then rammed it though, with out ONE SINGLE DEBATE or ONE SINGLE ASSESSMENT of the final draft, while the f-king INK WAS STILL WET.
This would be the story of the century if not for the fact that the country is distracted by half the officials in the Trump Administration getting frog-marched out of the White House in handcuffs. I guess that's one way to distract our attention while the robber baron plutocrats are stealing us blind.
Message to the MSM: WHAT EVER THE HELL the Democrats do when they take back Congress and the White House, and start passing their own bills...Republicans will whine about it being 'too fast' or 'too partisan.' Your job is to cover ABSOLUTELY NONE OF THAT, because hypocrisy doesn't count as political debate.
