People need to be putting on their fighting gloves, not their running shoes.

So much defeatism and generalized acceptance that nothing will ever change.

It will get better and change if people fight and stop dooming and glooming themselves into complacency.

I am fighting. I hope millions upon millions join in the fight.

Call their congresscritter first thing on Monday morning. If DC is busy, call the local office.

Tomorrow there is a national phone call tomorrow about how we plan to resist the tax bill and there is the 2nd women's march as well. I get 20 (I am serious) gmails a day from groups who are not sitting around and crying boo hoo but are organizing, re-organizing and they are getting stronger and louder. Depression and anxiety has hit 57% of the country since the election and it is normal to feel defeated. Allow yourself the time you need and when you are healthy and ready you are able you will be in action again. Here are a few links...

there is no protest to join. No Democrats to get together with. Hell, the Dem Party doesn't even have an office where I live. That's how Republican it is.

I do what I can in the forums/online groups I belong to. I sign petitions.

I can call, but call two a Trumper Senator & Trumper Rep? I could...I've emailed the Senator before, to no avail.

And I can vote. (I hope to move away from here next year. Hope I can move to at least a purple area.)

My Congressional district is bright red. My county party is a joke.

I go to two nearby counties to interact with other Democrats. I work as a precinct committeeman and GOTV in my area. I help candidates who are willing to put themselves out there to run against the entrenched repiggies. There are more people willing to do this at the present time!

There are things you can do in your area. Please don't give up.

I know it's Alabama, but we gotta try.
