NBC News is erasing all memory of Matt Lauer

NBC News is bulldozing and erasing all memory of Matt Lauer from 30 Rock by demolishing his office, ripping off his name plate from the building and destroying all pictures of the shamed anchor.

Network insiders said Lauer’s office on the third floor of 30 Rock was one of many undergoing renovation, but now they have instead started tearing it apart.

One told us,
“Matt’s office is being completely demolished.
Everything is going, including that button under his desk, his name plate, the photos of him in the hallways, the pictures of him online and on NBC News social media.

They are so sickened by his behavior it is almost like they want to pretend he never existed.”

Meanwhile, we are told Lauer is offering groveling apologies to several his former colleagues by sending personal emails saying, “I am truly sorry.”
The insider added that many of the ‘Today” staffers are so shocked and outraged by Lauer’s behavior they have been unable to find the words to write back.

Meanwhile, NBC News HR staff continue to comb through his work email to find possible further evidence of sexual harassment.

and the misogyny Lauer exhibited in his pro-Trump slanting of the event, with full backing of the top brass.

This network knew who Lauer was. It's absurd to say this happened in secret. The accusers say their complaints were ignored by higher-ups.

They're the same guys that employed the Pussygrabber for years on The Apprentice, despite his decades of racist and misogynist comments, invited him to host SNL after he slurred Mexicans, sat on the Access Hollywood tape and covered for him, then topped it off by giving him a Jimmy Fallon hair tousle.

NBC loves them some misogyny and sexual predators.

They paid Meghan all this money and she is a loser to their ratings so Matt is a perfect excuse to save money. It'll never forget him giving softball questions to Twitler and going hard on Hillary.

At this point I don't think NBC is an evil entity, but it's creepy that they are trying to remove all evidence of his time with them.

There's a saying out there about not remembering the past . . . .

So yes, let's keep up the picture of an abusive and disturbing man around the building where people have to continue to work.

It looks like an attempt to erase the fact that he ever worked for them.

I'm NOT saying leave pictures of him up on the walls of the offices of NBC. I am saying that if they try to pave over his memory they're doing a wrong. Not on the level of the wrongs he did, but a wrong nonetheless.

What I don't want is that a couple of years from now young people saying, "Matt Lauer? Never heard of him."

Just like we can take down all the statues of all the Confederate "heroes", but we don't ever want to forget who they were and what they did.
