How Citizens United Encourages Tax Cuts for the Rich and Poverty for 95%

Say a politician wants a million dollars for his re-election campaign. In the old days that meant a lot of fund raising since he would need tens of thousands of donations. Now, all he has to do is persuade one gazillionare to write a check. And the easiest way to get a gazillionare to write a check for a million is to give said gazillionare a billion dollars back in return in the form of a tax cut that the US middle class will have to cover.

No wonder the GOP is celebrating. Their election coffers are now flush again---with money they have stolen from us, the US middle class taxpayer. The writing is on the wall. They want us too poor to even consider donating money to our own candidates. They want us to poor to pay for the Internet or even for electricity and food. They want us so busy working two or three jobs that we will not have time to vote next November.

Welcome to serfdom 95% of Americans. Enjoy your brief, miserable lives.

The Republican tax cut benefits rich Republican donors. Period. That's the point.

Donors are like stock holders. All they want is a generous return on their investment.
Nothing else.
