Sally Yates put country first and went to President Trump to try and save his Presidency
Trump's hubristic misogyny and inability to control his impulses led him to fire her.
His tweet today confirms that he fired Flynn for lying to the FBI which establishes the underlying crime for Muller to establish an obstruction of justice charge against the President.
How ironic that Trumps perception of Yates as a disposable object rather than the source of valuable information led him down the path to his own destruction.
If Trump had taken the advice of Yates and not appointed Flynn he probably would have been able to skate away from charges that he contacted the Russians unless they have a recording that has Trump offering a specific quid pro quo.
If a regional manager for Arby's didn't have a greater sense of process and a greater sense of impulse control than Trump he would be terminated.
Trump just had the last word and his word is yes I knew that Flynn committed a crime and that's why I fired him. Its also why I tried to get the FBI to stop investigating.
What a putz.
I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He has pled guilty to those lies. It is a shame because his actions during the transition were lawful. There was nothing to hide!
His twitter thread is hilarious today because 99% of the people responding are pointing out that he just admitted to the cover up of a federal crime.
