President Trump on Saturday addressed for the first time his former national security advisers admission that he lied to FBI investigators about his contact with Russian officials.
No, Im not worried about what Michael Flynn will tell investigators, Trump told reporters.
What has been shown is no collusion," he said. "Theres been absolutely no collusion so were very happy.
Flynn, as part of a plea deal announced Friday, has agreed to cooperate fully with special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian election interference and alleged collusion between Trump campaign officials and Moscow.
Trump has maintained that his campaign did not collude.

(7,432 posts)I didn't imagine that we could both be happy about the same thing. I'm happy that Flynn flipped and that he'll finger Jared, Junior, and Princess as the traitors they are. And Trumpy is just as happy because he THINKS that Mueller's not closing in on him. I really do appreciate that Trumpy is living in his bubble. In fact, I'm happy about it, because Trumpy has become complacent in his own bubble. That means that, as Mueller closes in by questioning Hope Hicks and by sifting through all of Flynn's effects, Trumpy won't know what that knock on his door will be about when Mueller comes calling. He won't be "blowing a gasket" and looking for the nuclear football when his time is up. Instead, he'll be marketing himself as "unbeatable", just as he did today.
After the kids are all making deals with Mueller, Trumpy will get to go to the Congress for impeachment proceedings. That will likely be in 2018, when the election campaigns are in full swing. His power will have been greatly diminished by then, and the Congressional GOP will be far less interested in patting him on the head and telling him, "Good boy, Donny!" GOPers will have to get serious about reflecting the mood of the nation next year, and their one-trick-pony will need a rest. So we should expect to hear some disgruntlement from GOPers as they try to save their asses from defeat at the hands of Dems.
