I Hate to Rain on Everyone's Flynn Guilty Parade, but

no matter what Bob Mueller reveals, the GOP won't do a DAM thing about because most of them were in on It!

Our only chance is concentrating everything on great 2018 primary candidates and getting our ducks in order for a massive Democratic turnout in November.

Remember: we will be up against dirty tricks, fraudulent ads, and billions of Kock and Mercer money!

The Flynn deal has done and will continue to do tremendous political damage to Trump and his cronies. And it will keep them off balance as they will have to deal with ongoing questions and surprises. That is extremely important even if we can't get Republicans to impeach.

As delighted as I would be at seeing the Demented Hubric Cheeto gone, it seems irrelevant to our future. Pence would be more effective at screwing people because he knows how to keep his mouth shut. Even if Pence goes down, then we have Paul "Ayn Rand Wet Dream" Ryan up next. Then Orrin Hatch.

We can discuss and argue who the candidates will be but we must come together after the selection. Our goal must be massive Democratic turnout every November.

First, you don't have the power to rain on my "parade". Sorry, but I'm enjoying this latest frog march parade of GOPee felons. Second, those that Mueller proves were in on it will probably lie about it and thus become felons also. I'm talking to you, Pence, Kushner, Ivanka, McConnell, Ryan, Priebus and more. Over 60 new felons were born via Watergate and this shit dwarfs that easily. Last, I do agree with you that 2018 is critical and our best hope at repairing the damage done to our country due to GOPee complicity.

Now, I have a parade to go to. A very long parade full of GOPee clowns doing a frog march.

CHILL, people, CHILL!!!!!

That was NOT a "slam-you, damn-you" title or post! It was a cold "slap-in-the-face" call to realize that the battle is not won, but rather, just begun.

Think about it. While we're celebrating the demise of "General Flynn" the GOP just passed the absurd "tax-fuck-you-over" bill, destined to screw over a great majority of the country in favor of the corporations and 1%.

And what are we doing? Being all pissed off because someone "dared" to "rain-on-your-parade?"

Really? You do realize that the GOP just dumped a giant load of SHIT on that same parade, don't you?

What are you going to do about it?

THAT is the point we must focus on and drive to take back our country.

Protest. Call, write and generally pester my representatives while I simultaneously enjoy watching Flynn become felon #2 and flipping on his co-conspirators.

Do you see the irony in telling us to "CHILL, people, CHILL!!!!!" and then imploring us to totally freak the fuck out with your assumption that we aren't focused on 2018 or realize the severity of the situation?

Have a nice day.

Pence rumors about threatening to resign actually makes him look better (he's now not able to play ostrich so he could say he wants nothing to do with things, now that he "knows" ), so unless they actually can nail him to the wall I'm afraid the goal has always been to use Trump's "charisma" to get a GOP win, then his liabilities to get Pence as President.

If not Pence, there'll be a third person that has been selected as the Designated President for Trump to appoint as VP after Pence resigns, and it'll only require a simple majority in both sides of Congress to pick which GOP wingnut will be our President until 2020.

report to Congress and recommend impeachment. He can simply indict and arrest Trump. Y'all still don't get that the entire GOP os a criminal enterprise and criminal conspiracy. There are many many GOP House members and some GOP senators tahat are going to be indicted.

Sat Dec 2, 2017, 03:08 PM

There is great legal ambiguity concerning whether the president can be arrested. In fact, during the Watergate era, this ambiguity is the reason that Nixon was named as an un-indicted co-conspirator. Had he been charged, it would have created a legal limbo that would have to have been adjudicated by the Supreme Court. He may have survived his second term.

Your broader accusation about the Republican Party is, perhaps, a bit broad. While I certainly agree that the behavior of many of its members have been Constitutionally questionable, to call it a "criminal enterprise" is a bit of a stretch. If true, some Attorney General should bring a RICO case against the GOP. Let me say this: McConnell's unwillingness to hold hearings about President Obama's Supreme Court choice is unquestionably un-Constitutional but the Obama Administration didn't challenged in court.

I think you are correct that there are GOP legislators who will be caught up in this scandal. Devin Nunes comes to mind but so does the House GOP leadership team.

As Robert Mueller's strategy is revealed, I think we are witnessing a supremely professional prosecutor peal an onion of profound corruption. The climb-up-the-ladder method that he's employing will isolate the principal villains until Trump is exposed, all alone.

So far, it's been a thing of beauty!

That it is very unlikely that a sitting president would be indicted, no matter the evidence, and they point to history. I don’t know if that’s true, since what we may be facing now may be really different from prior situations, but that may be why people are concerned about the unlikelihood of impeachment with this Congress.
