Matt Lauer's wife leaves their home amid sex harassment scandal

Matt Lauer’s long-suffering wife Annette Roque has fled their home and is rumored to have headed back to her native Netherlands amid his sex harassment scandal.

Multiple sources tell Page Six that Dutch-born former model Annette — Lauer’s wife of 20 years — was last seen at their Hamptons home on Wednesday, the day Lauer’s firing was announced.

One Hamptons source told Page Six, “Annette has taken their two younger kids out of school and is believed to have left the US and gone to her family in her native country.” It is believed her mother lives near Amsterdam.

It's never easy to leave your home with your kids. I don't know how much she knew before this and I know nothing about her, but nobody deserves a husband like Lauer.

I hope she gets a good settlement. I am sure she will eventually be grateful that she is back in the Netherlands with her children.

She was pregnant with their 3rd child. He talked her into staying "for the kids". I was expecting this.

but he managed to quell the divorce. They have lived separately since. She is a lovely woman, but in pictures of her, she always appeared sad and glum. She was obviously unhappy. I hope she in able to get kids and herself in a good place now that Lauer has been exposed for the turd he is.

I would think that the public humiliation would be too much. I would have left him years ago, but I suppose that she liked the lifestyle.

Now she should lawyer up and get every dime possible. I feel sorry for her because he probably made explicit threats. It would not surprise me if he raped her.
