(841 posts)Democrats need to be explicit about how this bill will hurt people and that Social Security and Medicare will be next on the chopping block.

Big Donors bought this tax bill by buying our politicians, plain and simple!

I don't know how we pull this off but I sincerely think the next six years contain the LAST window of opportunity this country will get for hell, maybe a century. We're in deep, deep trouble.

(10,495 posts)We march now like they have never seen before to bring attention to what just happened and what needs to be done about it!
We have been kept so busy fighting the symptoms of this, the horrible policies such as killing the ACA and their draconian Health Care bills, immigration, education, climate change... that we have not addressed the ultimate driver of these policies, THE MONEY!!!
We rank our candidates by how much in political bribes (campaign donations) they have taken. We allow legalized bribery of our politicians, it is built into the system, it is the system!
I would like to see in either late Winter or early Spring a march of epic proportions with the sole issue being complete campaign finance reform with this tax bill and the attempted Republican Health Care bills as the examples of the danger. Their Health Care bills had like 12% approval from Americans and yet they still pushed it, why?
The MSM will not talk about it because they are the beneficiaries of all of that campaign cash. This needs to be addressed too!

(14,565 posts)been posting this since the day over the 2017 election.
This country needs to WTF up in a BIG way and hold the R party accountable, and not turn around give them even more power after a four year TO like they did from 2006 and 2010.
There HAS to come a time when this country stops indulging right wing fuck wittery.

(9,090 posts)and keep ignoring talk radio.
protests and boycotts aimed at those radio stations and the universities and pro teams that broadcast on them would be a total surprise for the republicans, freak them out, get media attention, and scare off most advertisers.
without that 1500 radio station advantage dems could get supermajorities.
but i suspect dems will keep doing the same thing over and over - keep ignoring talk radio and blame the symptoms ---- corporate media and money and dem reps.
