That being said I hope some people on the fence will realize that voting Green or Socialist or sitting at home doesn't help any of their favorite causes. Even if you only get half of what you want with the Democrats it is better than nothing plus a bunch of stuff you don't want with the Republicans.

They love to do their single issue purity tests, declaring Harris, Warren or anyone who gets in Sanders' way for 2020 "not a true progressive."

Well, I have a single issue for them: If you didn't vote for the woman who was the only person standing between us and the nightmare we now face, not only are you not a progressive, youre a rightwing tool and a Trump supporter. Period.

others to join them and affected the overall vote...they are all dead to me...especially the Greens, Sarandon, Stein and Turner. There is no doubt that this is like 2000 when those on the left helped elect Bush and we got United, war and ultimately an economic collapse. collapse...and the so called left left betrayed the party and this country...we have a reactionary judiciary in the making and a tax bill that if the trigger survived will cut medicare, social security and medicaid automatically.

many stay home because those on the left left have convinced them that the parties are the same? This has been a meme of theirs for years... There was much damage done in 16 and in prior years by those on the left left...including abandoning Obama which lead to a GOP House and a gerrymander. Obama's sin? He had no way to pass single payer. So they punished him and us ultimately. The 2010 election ended any chance of passing progressive legislation. I well remember the guy who called Obama a used car salesmen when I lurked here.

These are the folks who gave us Bush (Nader and the Greens helped elect Bush)...and all the misery associated with Bush. And in 16, they did it again. Also their attacks on the party..'.they' being groups like our revolution and sadly even Move on these days have weakened the party and convinced people that the parties are the same ...hopefully people are waking up to the fact that this is a God damned lie from people who have their own agenda: the are entitled and privileged purist who consider themselves the ultimate progressives...never realizing they are GOP dupes. They can never be trusted and are not progressive ;they are no different in effect than Republicans.

the Progressives that both parties are the same. Think about it-90 million eligible voters didn't vote and Jill Stein got 1.2 million votes. I think you are placing blame in the wrong place. And actually, maybe we should try and figure out why those 90 million didn't vote-that could help us in the next election.

so who's the purist? I voted for HRC and advised everyone else to - but I still want what Bernie was touting for our country. A totally misinformed and manipulated electorate is more to blame than the small percent of those on the left who didn't vote the way we did.
