"[A] clarification tonight on something one of Flynn's confidants told us and we reported earlier today," Ross said on the program. "He said the president had asked Flynn to contact Russia during the campaign. He's now clarifying that saying, according to Flynn, candidate Trump asked him during the campaign to find ways to repair relations with Russia and other world hot spots. And then after the election, the president-elect asked him to contact Russia on issues including working together to fight ISIS."

NOTE9/ And ABC mixing up whether Trump gave Flynn marching orders on Russia only during the transition or also during the *prior year and a half he worked for him* is a red herring. Flynn was charged on facts suggesting the former—that *doesn't* mean the latter didn't happen too.

4. I really dont think Flynns deal is about trying to repair relations with Russia during the

transition. I noticed a lot of wingers and Fox types pushing that idea yesterday, saying that everyone had misunderstood, and that Flynn only tried to discuss stuff with Russia during the transition — nothing sneaky at all. Totally legal, etc. We will see.

I HIGHLY doubt that Mueller would not charge Flynn with the many other very serious charges that were hanging over his head for all sorts of nefarious activities like his dealings in Turkey just to hear about normal diplomatic-type phone calls to Russia during the transition.
