If tr-dump ran his mouth off to Flynn even after Flynn was terminated from the White House telling him all sorts of juicy incriminating tidbits of info that would now light tr-dump's ass on fire.

Flynn was tr-dump's pillar of support all through the primaries and general elections.
Flynn was tr-dump's sounding board when tr-dump got all stressed out and needed to vent steam. Just imagine the stuff they discussed.

And Flynn wanted to milk tr-dump for inside info about all the info Flynn could sponge up because Flynn wished to capitalize on this info so he could make a financial killing with his lobbying/consulting firm handed off to his son. The info Flynn vacuumed up while at the tr-dump admin was Flynn's cash cow to become filthy rich off these inside lobbying deals he could now easily drum up and cash in on handsomely.
