2. Chuck Todd, for one, was suggesting that attention would be diverted from the tax bill now

And give senators cover to vote for it while everyone is looking the other way.

They would have voted for it anyway, though, IMO.

4. Was hoping that senators might not want to go down with the GOP sinking ship.

Or perhaps that the financial backers of these senators may be rethinking their strategies.

I don't sign a receipt at a restaurant without reading it carefully... these fools are willing to sign a tax bill with no idea of what might be tucked away inside. To them it's all other people's money, I guess.

7. Unfortunately, I think it gives them the cover they need to pass the tax bill.

In fact, now that I think about it, that's probably why they postponed the vote.

ONLY want their murderous tax bill passed so they can reward their billionaire mega-donors and with taking us BACK to the "Guilded Age."

They'll deal with fatso down the road. As for the American people, they don't give one fuck about those of us who know what they're all about. And, they don't even care about their stupid supporters, because many will be straight out torn up thanks to this trickle up tax bill. I'm also worried that the more unhinged fatso gets, he'll be starting a war---if not with North Korea, SOMEWHERE.

A WAR & MASSIVE tax cuts this time around=DEPRESSION. Not a recession. Straight to a DEPRESSION.

9. Collins "hasn't declared her intention".

Reports emerging now that the revised Senate plan won’t repeal the alternative minimum tax. The original bill called for getting rid of the tax, which was designed to make sure the wealthy didn’t use deductions to avoid paying federal income taxes.

Keeping it will help save revenue and may placate deficit hawks.

Also, more news from Sen. Collins. She says the bill will include her medical-expense deduction — another sign she’ll vote yes on the bill, though she hasn’t declared her intention.

17. Well there is in that the Senate version differs from the house

So the bill will have to go back to the house and have to be reconciled and they'll have to vote on the combined bill again but they're ramming this through regardless of what people think so......

10. They're in session voting on amendments

I have no idea if this has anything to do with a final vote.
From what I've seen on C-Span, it has been Democrats proposing amendments.
I don't know if this a time filler while Mitch is working behind the scenes. Most senators are coming and going from the room.

"win" with anything?!1 The yakkers keep saying that this tax crap is needed to give TWITLER something to "brag" about. So you know that ALL the Repuke Senators knew about TWITLER's pressuring their own among them, which makes them all complicit.
