(I'm guessing they were told there'd be mass demonstrations against Trump)
US diplomats have cancelled President Trumps unofficial visit to Britain in January, according to a report Thursday.
The decision was made in the wake of Trumps retweeting of three anti-Muslim videos from a far-right group, Britains Telegraph reported.
Trump had scheduled a working visit in early 2018 to formally open the United States new embassy in London, and was not scheduled to meet with the Queen.
No new date has been set.
British Prime Minister Theresa May has chastised Trump for the tweets, saying it was wrong to have shared the videos. She also denounced the group behind the tweets, Britain First, as a hateful organization.

(34,195 posts)I watched some of it last night.
It went on and on and on, one after another,
denouncing President Trump for retweeting tweets from the far right group Britain First's
anti-Muslim propaganda.
One even suggested that should Trump come to Britain that he be arrested for advocating violence.
The Home Secretary just kept repeating:
"We have shared with the United States our opinion that what Mr Trump did was unwise."
